Welcome to 2016! Our Thursday Night rides are set to begin April 7th – full ride schedule can be found under the Ride Calendar – don’t forget you need a current PCC membership to participate!

The Thursday Nighter is a competitive ride. The group is generally split into A and B groups near the beginning of the ride. Group A, the fastest ride, tends to include Senior 1-3, Master 1-2, strong women and fast juniors. Rides start from a number of locations depending on the ride, so please check the calendar or forum on the website weekly for locations, start times and other important details.  Rides generally are 50 to 110 km. The season has a mix of rides that can be fairly flat, quite hilly or feature a selection of local dirt road sections, a.k.a. Dirty Thursday. The Thursday Nighter is faster than the Wednesday Tempo Ride and requires superior individual bike handling skills, a certain amount of tenacity and, frankly, a willingness to suffer. Be familiar with the area as there is no sweep to pick up dropped riders. Helmets are required as well as membership to the PCC. If you don’t want to join us for Dirty Thursdays, keep in mind that the Thursday Tempo Ride will be riding on pavement, so you may join them.
