I’m sorry for the late post but I’m still in Kingston having toddler adventures. As such, Karen will be leading our ride tomorrow. The route is a variation on one of my favourite Peterborough routes with fewer hills and better scenery. It begins as a normal ride to Lakefield but you sneak off on Centre Road before you get there. This is where the fun starts. Fairly flat, hard packed dirt and gravel without a car to be seen! Once you hit Fourth Line you turn south to head through the bustling metropolis that is downtown Douro. A right at the 4 way by the school (and the much missed Sullivan’s Store) reintroduces pavement and takes you back towards Peterborough by way of Nassau/Pioneer Road. From there you retrace your steps to the Silver Bean to enjoy a coffee.
