Something simple and just under 65 KM for a warm evening …. The North School Loop!

    Here is the Strava Route

We’ll go directly to Young’s Point, then ride North School. It’s a different ride when you go in the opposite direction.

Environment Canada is predicting that the Humidex will be 39 at 6 PM.

A reading of 39 is one point below the cancellation threshold for PCC rides. If there is a Warning about thunderstorms, the ride will be cancelled. Check again here around 5 PM. While the Norwegians have the clouds rolling in during our ride-window, and no rain happening until after 9 PM, I will make the call shortly before 4:30 PM based on the Environment Canada radar.

Please assess your tolerance for exercising under high heat and humidity before attending tonight’s ride. You are responsible for your own decisions and only you can assess you tolerance for heat and humidity.

Please ensure that you are fully hydrated before the ride starts. If possible, bring an extra water bottle and, if time permits, chill or freeze some water in each bottle.

We will ride at a pace that will take the heat and humidity into account; so we won’t be 100% flat-out and may, depending on conditions, shorten the ride or further decrease the exertion level.

If, at anytime, during the ride you find the heat and humidity distressful, exit the group, inform a ride leader and a ride leader will stay with you to ensure your safe return to Peterborough.

The Ride is cancelled. Envi Canada still has a high Humidex Reading.
