Pay special attention to the section on “call -outs”.
Before we hop on our bikes and ride there will be some verbal instruction/re-fresher information about how to ride safely in a group. I won’t be there on May 1st, but Sue Carlson and Margaret Newport will be there, along with many other experienced riders.
Safety first. No one gets left behind. These are group rides; your leaders will keep the group together, give tips and advice, and stop the group as needed. We want you to have an enjoyable ride and look forward to coming back week after week. If you’re new to the PCC, welcome! Sue and Margaret will help you choose the group that is right for you.
Here are the routes for May 4th … by May 11th, we’ll do different routes. Later in the season we will all try to do the same route, but at our own Group’s pace.
Rec Group 3 (the least fast of 3, 4 and 5): Your ride will be a simple Lakefield and back. There will be verbal instruction before you leave and again when you stop in Lakefield. Here is your Strava Map: https://www.strava.com/routes/12706076
Rec Group 4: Your ride will be to and through Lakefield, up Young’s Point Road (YPR), left on Preston and right on Miller Road back to YPR, and then you’ll reverse your route all the way back to the Silver Bean. Here is your Strava map: https://www.strava.com/routes/18464663
Rec Group 5: Your ride will be to and through Lakefield, up Young’s Point Road (YPR), left on Preston all the way to the top, then right on Selwyn Road to YPR, and then down YPR and into Lakefield. Then you’ll return down River Road/ Nassau Mills Road all the way back to Trent, past the chip truck, down Armour Road and end at the Silver Bean.
