All Policies marked with an asterisk(*) are required reading for youth program participation.

RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY*

Respect for rules of the road is of paramount importance during all PCC rides. Club members also learn the importance of being responsible for each other’s safety when on group rides.

DROP RIDE RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY*

Drop rides involve different levels of responsibility, birth to one’s self and to other riders, from the rest our our group rides. If you plan to participate in a PCC Drop Ride, please familiarize yourself with the Drop Ride policy.

BY-LAWS

The Peterborough Cycling Club (PCC) is a non-profit corporation. As such, we have by-laws that outline how the club is run. PCC members elect the board of directors at the Annual General Meeting each year. We are run exclusively by volunteers.

PRIVACY POLICY

We may spend a great deal of time around each other in tight clothing, but make no mistake – your privacy is important to the Peterborough Cycling Club.

SCREENING POLICY

The Peterborough Cycling Club understands that the screening of personnel and volunteers is a vital part of providing a safe sporting environment. It has become a common practice among sport organizations that provide programs and services to the community.

YOUNG RIDER POLICY*

Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or a designated chaperone in order to attend rides and events which are outside of regular youth programming. Necessary arrangements must be made before the ride.

ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

By accepting membership with the Peterborough Cycling Club you have agreed to our policies and procedures.

Membership POLICY

The Peterborough Cycling Club always advocates for diversity in our cycling community.  We welcome all people to experience the joy of cycling and aim to provide a supportive and caring environment for our members.

CONCUSSION AND RETURN TO RIDE POLICY*

The Peterborough Cycling Club takes head injuries seriously and will implement reasonable practices to ensure that they are addressed appropriately.

WEATHER POLICY

Rides may be cancelled due to extreme weather. Understand how the PCC makes weather-related decisions to ensure rider safety.

CODE OF CONDUCT*

The Peterborough Cycling Club endeavours to foster an environment where all its members respect each other and have fun riding bicycles. We expect all members to follow our code of conduct.

DISCIPLINE AND COMPLAINT POLICY

There is simply no place for individuals within the Peterborough Cycling Club who do not embody our mission and do not follow our club policies.

URINATION POLICY

When natures calls, answer with a sense of decorum and consideration for other riders, land-owners, and public decency.
